What Happened in Mobile, AL?

I am writing you from Bixby, Oklahoma right now. The weather is nice here with a subtle breeze blowing. I decided I would write a story concerning how God moved when I was in Mobile, Alabama this past week from August 28th to September 2, 2013 so you can enjoy fully what the Lord had done.

The Lord was and is still moving mightily through Mobile, AL. I am just so glad I get to be a part of what He is doing. Numerous people whom received Jesus, were delivered from depression, and were reunited with God after being mad at Him for several years on the streets. We have the ministry of reconciliation IN AND OUTSIDE OF THE CHURCH!

THURSDAY EVENING: AUG 29th

           

Larry, came back to the Lord, received confirmation of God’s purpose for his life, and wants to get back into church. Here’s a picture of him praying for his wife. The Lord ministered directly to her to the point of describing family members down to hair color and she got delivered from depression as the Lord ministered directly to her situation in helping her understand that He is working everything out for her good. After spending the afternoon ministering to them, Larry’s wife was leading others to Christ an hour later! PRAISE GOD!

I remember visiting The Cave Friday Night Service and while listening to people with testimonies from people being set free from 30 year drug addictions, walked away from the sex industry redeemed, to living for Jesus after committing suicide… I thought to myself, “... this is what it’s all about.” THAT IS WHAT EVERYTHING WE DO AS BELIEVERS IS ALL ABOUT… to live free and help others live a life of freedom through Jesus Christ!

SATURDAY MORNING: AUG 31st

            

       

Brandon and I visited The Bridge Inc. Drug Rehab Center, where I was at in 2008, and the Lord put it on my heart to minister on how He has a purpose for every one of their lives. The teenagers received Jesus, others received prayer, and many were set on fire for God, but there was guy named Ricky… I’m tellin’ ya, if the Lord led us there for only him, it would have been completely worth it. His mom was a prostitute & dope-slinger, but now living for the Lord. She has always told Ricky that God has a plan and purpose for his life, but when he heard that same thing on Saturday in the rehab, the Holy Spirit got him and revolutionized his heart! GLORY TO GOD!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON:

After the Rehab, I went to lunch with my old counselor, Mr. Jacob Davis, treated me to a good ol’ hefty southern-made lunch. After lunch, we ended going to a house where he has been watching over David, a member of his church, for quite some time now. David was oppressed by numerous demons, they manifested when I started praying for him, but he got delivered, and born again! The Jesus that lives on the inside of us is much greater than the demons that were living on the inside of him. HALLELUJAH!

SATURDAY NIGHT: AUG 31st

          

          

Saturday Night Life at the CAVE Ministries the Holy Spirit ran wild! God ministered directly to the needs of the people and changed their lives forever. The Lord had me share my testimony and how there is no pit too dark that He can’t bring you out of. As you stay focused on and speak His promise, you will be able to persevere with patience as you understand He will perfect the work HE has begun on the inside of you.

The Holy Spirit ministered peace to many people, others received confirmation of God’s purpose, direction for jobs, and were set on fire to whole ‘nother degree, but there was a couple who recently lost their child and the Holy Spirit comforted their hearts. I remember a woman who brought up a child, who was not her own, and asked me to pray for him because his mom gave him up for a life of drugs and prostitution. It was so precious to pray for that 4 month old child. I prayed for God to send him people who will raise him up to be the mighty man of God he is called and for the Lord to bring his mom back to where she belongs… with HIM! We serve such an amazing God!

 

SEPT 2nd - MONDAY AFTERNOON:

Then, I was invited to an outreach to speak, where you’ll see Brandon Sanders with Wings of Life Outreach, rapping with the kids in the picture on the left. Great guy. God delivered that message and it ministered straight to the heart of one guy who was actually working with the outreach. God tailor-made everything to what this guy was dealing with in his heart and comforted him in many areas and the Lord stirred him up with passion for His purpose… You know, I don’t care if God sends me to one person or one million people because you never whose life God will use you to change. Billy Graham and Reinhardt Bonnke all being perfect examples. Such an amazing time with the Lord!!!

So that pretty much was my trip to Mobile, AL and how the Lord changed some lives.

Thought Thread: Balcony View

Relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the breeze and fartin' up a storm... just kidding, there's no breeze. (haha)

You know, I am just relaxing here and "enjoying the sun" so to speak because now I can just disconnect and relax on this beautiful balcony with the breeze blowing in my hair. Not having to be concerned about someone knocking on my door to ask me a stupid question or need a favor; but simply to relax is just awesome. This is what it feels like to have your own place. Man, that's awesome.

It feels great to disconnect. I was just sitting here and thinking and thinking... and thinking some more and thought again to myself, "Man, these are some good thoughts, I should write these down," so that's what I did.

I look out from the balcony here and see the swampy part of the river as cars, trucks, motorcycles, and people race by while the humidity clings to my skin and mosquitos tell me they love me in their own special way. That is something I will definitely NOT miss are the mosquitos. Goodness, those things are ridiculous here!

I am excited to get back to the USA, but sad, also, because my heart is here with the locals. I think that is one of the hardest things about being a missionary is having to leave and not knowing when you will return. If you did not have Jesus, it would probably tear you up inside... just seeing the look in their eyes when you tell them you only have 2.5 weeks left to be with them. We refrain from crying because we love one another so much, but we stand strong because we know that if we do not see each other again, we will meet in heaven. That is one reason why I respect Joseph Bradford so much because of how he establishes the people to connect with others before we leave so they can have someone to "live with" when we are gone. It's amazing the friends you make in 6 months when you connect with them on a heart level deeper and more profound than regular friends... there are roots.

Despite all of the craziness, I would not sacrifice this for the world because I am exactly where God wants me to be. I have said Latin America is my home, but in all honesty; my home is at the center of God's will, to wherever that might be at whatever time; I am always in the right place at the right time.

I look forward to seeing you all soon. I miss you all. I miss my natural and spiritual family. I want to post some more about the "Adventures of the Mission Field" (queue Indiana Jones theme song) so you can see behind the scenes about what we do for fun here and, also, for The Lord. Seriously, if we didn't have fun, we would go insane.

How'd Jackeline to Saturday's Small Group?

How Jackeline Got to Saturday's English Group

Saturday. 1:30PM. God moved in a mighty way. There were four accounted for in the English Small Group. All prayed to receive Jesus, but there was something special about her. "God has something special for you", I told Jackeline, "can I pray for you?"

Looking at me strange, she nodded with an "OK" expression on her face. We began to pray. The Lord began to pour out His heart to her saying things like, "You are special to Me. You are not like anyone else in this world because I did not make you like anyone else in this world."

You want to know why? BECAUSE IT IS THE TRUTH!

God, being one, made a Body with seperate parts and function.

YOU... EAR!

LISTEN, YOU CAN'T WALK!

FOOT... STOP POUNDING THE PAVEMENT TO HEAR!

We prayed... and prayed... and the Lord continued to speak to those roots of her heart, speaking purpose over her life... when I attempted to stop... God had more to do.

It was pulsating through my hand like electricity... IT WAS THE HOLY GHOST!

One last time, "God has something more for you," I said to her, "can I pray for you again?" Immediately when my hand touched her shoulder and the peace of God rushed through the both of us... Paradise.

REWIND: Jeremy, how'd she get there?

I study with various youth, every Saturday, in Zareth's house. I arrived late, but Zareth went to her cousin's house... she wasn't there. "Where could she be?", thinking Zareth when her aunt said to go another house.

Zareth left only to find her cousin was not there.. but Jackeline was. Saturday was a special day. "Want to come study English with me?", Zareth asked Jackeline. "Sure, let's go." Jackeline is hardly ever at this house, but happened to be there that day because is the cousin of Zareth's cousin. She was in the right place at the right time.

Rest assured, you are always where God wants you to be. If you are not, He will tell you. Otherwise, be content and be blessed.

Jackeline is just awesome. She was new in the Saturday English group today. I love this girl. I prayed for her after she received Jesus and The Lord showed me things about her... let's just say that the call on her life is REEEEAALLLLY COOL!!!!!

Love or Respect?

This is important for all of us to learn. We do not need to live life to where we give respect based on a person's actions, but to live a life based on demonstrating God's love. That "you've earned my respect" mentality is rooted in pride because when that person doesn't meet your standards for respect, you look down your nose at them... Pride. Love looks at the person and says, "How can I build him or her up and bring them further along in their potential for God?" #breakthrough

Whole Hearted People

Joanne is from New York, USA. Deported 7 years after serving time in jail, he's been living on the streets since then. I walked by him, having a strong desire to talk with him, we spoke, he received Jesus, and I prayed for him and the power of God touched him in such a fulfilling way as The Lord spoke to him saying things like he'd go all over the world preaching the Gospel; miracles, signs and wonders, and healings would come forth in his ministry as God is sending him back to the people from where He has rose him from the ashes. He's 50 years old... It's never too late to do what The Lord has called you to do... NEVER!!!

First Service

We had a great 1st Service here in Killa! We had 22 people (21 of the 22 are actively involved in our small groups.) 64% were men! We are going from 0 to 100 in 90 days. Thanks for your help. We appreciate you!

JEREMY, why Latin America?

     My name is Jeremy Wenger and I was born and raised in Huntsville, AL. My home church is in Madison, AL; Cornerstone Word of Life Church (CWOL) with Pastors Mark & Rhonda Garver. I am currently serving in Latin America under Vive Libre (Live Free) Ministries with Joseph Bradford.

     I am so privileged to be a part of Vive Libre Ministries. The vision of this ministry is to establish Churches and Bible Schools in the major cities of Latin America and, as a result, help people come into a relationship with Jesus Christ and disciple them so they, too, can live an abundant and fruitful life with our Lord.

"Jeremy, what is the ministry's statement of faith?"

     We believe that every person must receive Jesus Christ as their personal savior to enter heaven and to live a fulfilling life on the earth. (Romans 10:9-10, John 10:10, 14:6)

"Jeremy, how´d you get involved with overseas missions?"

     It was nothing short of God's hand moving in my life. When I was released from rehabilitation in 2008, I returned to Huntsville from Mobile, AL. 

     This is when a friend of mine introduced me to the Bible Institute at CWOL and I started the following Sunday. Two short weeks afterwards, I met Joseph Bradford, founder of Vive Libre Ministries, while waiting in the foyer of the CWOL. He walked across the foyer, stopped immediately and asked me if I wanted to go to Costa Rica with him. "OF COURSE!", I responded, the next day I was at his house serving, and the rest is history.

How can churches & individuals help? 

     At this moment are through praying for the team as we  accomplish what The Lord has placed in our hearts for Latin America and financial support to any degree. As we are believing God for everything to prosper, we need as many individuals and churches partnering with us.
